Amazon is running its Big Spring Sale through March 31. This seasonal event typically ushers in discounts on all sorts of items, giving you an early-year treat before the major sales get going later in the year (like Prime Day). That even includes Apple products, a lot of which have fallen to record-low prices this week.If you’ve been eyeing an iPad, we've spotted discounts of up to $290 across Apple's tablet lineup. The just-updated M4 iPad Air has a small price cut, while its M3 predecessor is up to $200 off if you opt for a model with cellular connectivity. Some of the latter's configurations are starting to sell out, so don't wait too long to add one to your cart. (That includes the 128GB base model, which went on sale for $550 earlier this week.)Below, we've rounded up the best live iPad deals so you don't have to go digging through Amazon's listings yourself. Note: Offers marked with a 🔥 have dropped to an all-time low.Best iPad deal overall

Why we like itWe consider the iPad Air to be the best Apple tablet for most people: It's great for everyday activities like streaming and reading, but it's also powerful enough to use like a laptop. You can get an 11-inch M3 model with cellular connectivity and 256GB of storage for just $649.99 during the Big Spring Sale, or about $200 off — its biggest discount ever. It's now the same price as its WiFi-only counterpart. The newer M4 iPad Air with the same specs is about $190 more expensive, and you're only looking at a small gen-over-gen speed boost there.Read Mashable's full review of the Apple iPad Air (M3).More iPad Air dealsApple iPad Air, 11-inch (M4, WiFi, 128GB) — $559 $599 (save $40) 🔥Apple iPad Air, 11-inch (M4, WiFi + Cellular, 128GB) — $709 $749 (save $40) 🔥Apple iPad Air, 13-inch (M4, WiFi, 128GB) — $746.50 $799 (save $52.50) 🔥Apple iPad Air, 13-inch (M3, WiFi + Cellular, 256GB) — $899 $1,049 (save $150) 🔥Apple iPad Air, 13-inch (M4, WiFi + Cellular, 128GB) — $938 $949 (save $11) 🔥iPad Pro dealsApple iPad Pro, 13-inch (M4, WiFi, 256GB) — $1,099.99 $1,299 (save $199.01)Apple iPad Pro, 13-Inch (M4, WiFi + Cellular, 256GB) — $1,208.30 $1,499 (save $290.70)Apple iPad Pro, 13-inch (M5, WiFi, 256GB) — $1,199 $1,299 (save $100)Apple iPad Pro, 13-inch (M5, WiFi + Cellular, 256GB) — $1,370 $1,499 (save $129)iPad dealsApple iPad, 11-inch (A16, WiFi, 128GB) — $299 $349 (save $50)Apple iPad, 11-inch (A16, WiFi + Celluluar, 128GB) — $449 $499 (save $50)iPad mini dealsApple iPad mini (A17 Pro, WiFi, 128GB) — $399.99 $499 (save $99.01)Apple iPad mini (A17 Pro, WiFi + Cellular, 128GB) — $619 $649 (save $30)
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 translator says developers fired him to use AI
In the latest iteration of "AI comes for our jobs," the English translator for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 now claims that the game's developers, Czech-based Warhorse Studios, are planning to replace all translation work with artificial intelligence, making his job "obsolete." Max Hejtmánek, the game's long-time English translator, took to Reddit earlier today to announce his layoff in a post titled "Fired from Warhorse Studios and replaced with AI" in the r/kingdomcome subreddit. The subreddit's moderators claim to have verified his identity, while an update to Hejtmánek's LinkedIn profile indicates he's no longer working for Warhorse. The post begins with the worry that many people, especially in creative industries, now share: "Yesterday, March 27th 2026, with no forewarning, I was invited to a meeting and promptly told that, in an effort to "make the company more effective" and "save finances", as of next month, my position at the company would become "obsolete" in favour of using AI for all translations going forward."
SEE ALSO:
AI translator turns English into LinkedIn speak
According to Hejtmánek, he had been working at Warhorse Studios since 2022, doing Czech-to-English translation work, and his layoff is just the latest in a series of high-profile job losses that underscore how disruptive artificial intelligence has been in creative industries. It also raises important questions about AI's incursion into art, for while it's undoubtedly true that artificial intelligence can perform fast, cheap translation work — just as it can create fast, cheap cartoons, action sequences, movie dialogue, etc. — it's also true that removing the human element from art work necessarily cheapens the final product and even calls into question the entire enterprise: if art is no longer a human project but a machine one, what possible purpose does it serve?Hejtmánek alluded to this problem in his original post: "I want you to know that the growing use of AI greatly affects people in the games industry and many others, and I thought you should know how much the company that makes the games you love value the work of their employees, not to mention the environment."Today, the translator of a game was replaced, but what's next? The story writer? The design artists? The voice actors? How many human roles can be lost to AI before the entire enterprise gets called into question? And, as Max points out, what does it say about a company so eager to replace its human workforce with an AI one?

As a shopping reporter, trust me when I say I understand better than most that Amazon's sale schedule can feel fatiguing. However, as a headphones reviewer, I also can't deny that this year's Big Spring Sale offers a great opportunity to upgrade your audio game on the cheap.Having spent a few years testing headphones, and the last year covering the latest in noise-cancelling tech, open earbuds, and sleep earbuds, I went into this last week of March curious to see what the third iteration of Amazon's Big Spring Sale could bring. Sure, I'd seen the mega-retailer offer some solid tech deals in the two years prior, but so far, this iteration of the sale is proving that Amazon isn't playing with savings on headphones.

Amazon Big Spring Sale 2026: Live updates on the top deals
Case in point: The newly announced Apple AirPods Max 2 are already $19 off even though they're still in their preorder phase. Sony's latest flagship headphones and earbuds are also marked down, and Shokz has plenty of deals for anyone looking for a new pair of workout earbuds. Bose gear wasn't on sale when the Big Spring Sale began on March 25, but as of March 27, Amazon is finally discounting its QuietComfort headphones, QuietComfort Ultra 2 headphones, and Ultra Open earbuds, too.The Big Spring Sale runs until March 31 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Anything is possible, but with most of the below deals, I don't imagine we'll see wild fluctuations in price. In other words, if you see a pair of headphones or earbuds you like, I recommend scooping them up.My colleagues and I will be updating this post throughout the sale, so we'll let you know if anything new and major drops.Best headphones deal

Why we like itSony's flagship headphones, the Sony WH-1000XM6, are still relatively new, all things considered, meaning that catching them on sale isn't always a given. Granted, even though their sale price of $398 does net you a nice $61.99 price cut, they're still expensive headphones. (If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, I recommend the Sony WH-CH720N). That said, if you're looking for the best of the best, these Sony headphones offer some of the best sound, noise cancellation, and all-day wear I've ever tried. Plus, unlike their predecessors, their ear cups actually fold. Grab them on sale in any of the available four colorways. If the WH-1000XM6 are out of your price range, go for a more budget-friendly option. Why we like itAs much as I love a good pair of premium earbuds, I'm less in love with the idea of paying over $200 for quality ANC and sound when you can get that for much, much cheaper. For day-to-day use, I often find myself reaching for the Sony WF-C710N earbuds. They have great battery life, a compact case for easy portability, really solid ANC, and a rounded sound profile worthy of the Sony name. Mashable contributor Alex Bracetti called them the best Sony earbuds you can get for under $100 (when they're on sale), and I'm comfortable saying they're some of the best earbuds under $100, period.Check out our full review of the Sony WF-C710N.More earbuds deals CMF Buds 2a — $24.65 $39 (save $15.35)JBL Vibe Beam — $29.94 $49.95 (save $20.01)Sony WF-C510 — $48 $69.99 (save $21.99)Nothing Ear (a) — $58.99 $109 (save $50.01)Nothing Ear — $77 $129 (save $52)OnePlus Buds 4 — $79.99 $129.99 (save $50)Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE — $121.12 $149.99 (save $28.87 with on-page coupon)Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 — $169 $229 (save $60)Soundcore Sleep A30 Special sleep earbuds — $179.99 $199.99Apple AirPods Pro 3 — $199 $249 (save $50)Technics EAH-AZ100 — $247.99 $299.99 (save $52)Sony WF-1000XM6 — $298 $329.99 (save $31.99)Best open earbuds deal

Why we like itPeople love the Bose Ultra Open earbuds, but the Sony LinkBuds Clip are just as comfortable, sound at least as good, and at their full price, cost about $70 cheaper than the Bose buds. I have testing samples of both on my desk, and I find myself reaching for the Sony buds more.On sale, they're over $100 cheaper than the Bose Ultra earbuds. Mashable contributor Simon Cohen deemed these earbuds a Mashable Selects winner, which means they're a favorite of the Mashable team. This sale price of $198 marks their biggest discount ever, and the first time they've ever gone below $200. For earbuds that just launched in January, that's not too shabby.Check out our full review of the Sony LinkBuds Clip.More open earbuds deals Soundcore V20i — $26.99 $49.99 (save $23)Soundcore C50i — $39.98 $69.99 (save $30.01)Baseus Bowie MC1 Pro — $47.49 $89.99 (save $42.50)EarFun Clip — $48.98 $69.99 (save $21.01)Nothing Ear(Open) — $98.99 $149 (save $50.01)Shokz OpenSwim Pro — $139.94 $179.95 (save $40.01)Shokz OpenRun Pro — $159.95 $179.95 (save $20)Shokz OpenDots ONE — $159.94 $199.95 (save $40.01)Bose Ultra Open — $229 $299 (save $70)
Mini Kindle Pods are trending on TikTok, but these devices arent what they seem
Among passionate TikTok communities, BookTok, may be the most influential. BookTok is where book lovers and e-reader obsessives to come together to discuss their favorite books and device hacks. For readers who use e-readers, Kindle, Kobo, and Boox lead the charge as the most popular devices, so it's notable when a new device goes viral. "Mini Kindles" appear to be the latest device to cause a stir on BookTok, with hundreds of videos showcasing the tiny e-readers.On TikTok, searching for "mini Kindle" (or "mini Kindle pods") brings up dozens of user videos showing someone walking into a Barnes & Noble or Target and then cutting to an unboxing of a so-called "mini Kindle". As someone who tests e-readers for a living, this confused me.
I have no reason to believe these e-readers are actually being purchased at Barnes & Noble, nor do they have any apparent affiliation with Amazon Kindles. In fact, the devices being hyped in these videos appear to be sold by the users who post them.In a since-deleted video, user @aurealeaf directs viewers to the website NovaLeaf, where the "NovaLeaf Mini Kindle" is listed. (Editor's note: As of this writing, the @aurealeaf account is no longer available.) Another user, @hydro_scope, directs viewers to their website with a listing for a NOVA Mini Pink Kindle. Both devices claim to be pocket-sized e-readers under the Kindle name, despite no affiliation with Amazon. We reached out to both @aurealeaf and @hydro_scope, and we'll update this post if we receive a response. Are mini Kindle pods actually Kindles? These mini Kindles do not seem to be actual Kindle e-readers or associated with Amazon at all, nor does Amazon sell any mini version of the Kindle e-readers. We reached out for comment from Amazon and have not heard back at the time of publication.By performing reverse image searches on Nova and NovaLeaf websites, I found that the "mini Kindles" listed for sale there are visual matches for devices manufactured by a company called Oilsky. They appear to be 4-inch touchscreen MP3 and 1080p video players. With built-in access to the Google Play store, the Kindle app is available to download onto the device; however, that appears to be the only connection to Amazon. The Oilsky MP3 player and copycat versions are currently listed on Amazon. These TikTok-based sellers have their mini Kindles listed for $79.99, about $10 more than the direct Oilsky listing on Amazon. Oilsky MP3 players are not listed for sale at Barnes & Noble or Target. In short, the viral TikTok videos are using the word "Kindle" to refer to any e-reader-like device and may be at risk of legal action from Amazon. As of this writing, the @aurealeaf TikTok account is no longer available.

Why we like itA $100 discount on the 42mm GPS Apple Watch Series 11 drops it to a record-low price, making it the perfect time to grab what our Tech Editor, Timothy Beck Werth, calls the "Best Apple Upgrade." Mashable's Stan Schroeder agrees, noting the battery life alone is worth the jump. "Even if you already have a Series 10, which has nearly all the same features, the new Apple Watch Series 11 doesn’t require you to charge it mid-day in order to keep it going through the night," he writes.More Apple Watch dealsApple Watch Series 11 (GPS, 46mm) — $329 $429 (save $100)Apple Watch Series 11 (GPS + Cellular, 42mm) — $399 $499 (save $100)Apple Watch Series 11 (GPS + Cellular, 46mm) — $649 $799 (save $150)Best Apple Watch SE deal

Why we like itAccording to our review, Apple's AirPods Pro 3 are an "easy buy" if you've been looking for a new pair of AirPods. It's easy to see why: They have excellent ANC, eight hours of listening time per charge, a built-in heart rate monitor, and live translation features. Why we like itThe JBuds Lux ANC are the best budget headphones we've tested in recent memory, offering decent noise cancellation, a long battery life, and balanced sound. (Just note that their fit can be hit or miss.) They're a great value at their regular price of $80, but a coupon on their Amazon product page bumps them down to just $37.79 — a 50% savings. We saw them dip to $27 at Walmart on Black Friday, but this is their lowest-ever price on Amazon. Why we like itMashable reporter (and dog parent) Tim Marcin called this Shark stick vac "life changing" when he wrote about it for us. Marcin said, "[It's] my personal favorite vacuum — the best I've ever owned — which has made my life much easier. The long and short of it: It's light, super-effective at sucking up fur, affordable, and lasts for quite some time on a charge. Why we like itThe Laifen hair dryer that Mashable's hair tool expert, Bethany Allard, named as the best Dyson Supersonic dupe is on sale for the spring sale. But maybe you won't be as hard-pressed to find a good dupe when the fanciest Supersonic is at a new record-low price. The Supersonic Nural's main flex over the regular Supersonic is a system of sensors that automatically lower heat near your head, preventing a sizzling scalp. The Nural can also remember your preferred settings just based on the attachment being used, and knows to pause airflow when you set it down. Why we like itWarmer weather means open windows at home. And for the lucky folks, open windows at home mean allergy-induced sniffles. Make this the year that you finally get an air purifier for your home. Content creators have been spoiled for choice in the Amazon Big Spring Sale, with a solid selection of drone deals — particularly on drones from DJI, which usually flies ahead of the competition when it comes to drone technology and the flying experience. Now we’ve found a major price drop on one of the few non-DJI drones to feel like a genuine game-changer, the Antigravity A1 8K 360-degree camera drone. Our reviewer had a blast with this drone when it officially launched. Thanks to the Amazon Spring Sale, you can now land an Antigravity A1 Infinity Bundle for $1,599, a 20% discount from the regular list price of $1,999. To save a little more, the A1 Standard Bundle is $1,279, a 20% discount. Not only does this drone offer a 360-degree view and 8K resolution, but it comes with immersive video goggles that let you fly using the drone's POV.Mashable reviewer Adam Doud said it "gives you a sense of freedom in flight not possible until now."

Review: Is the Antigravity A1 drone the DJI replacement we've been hoping for?
Why we like the Antigravity A1 camera droneThe camera tech brand behind this drone, Insta360, boasts that this is the world’s first consumer aerial drone with built-in 360-degree video capture. You fly it with a combination of lightweight Vision goggles and a one-handed grip controller (all included as part of the marked-down Infinity bundle, including batteries, a charging hub, a carry case, spare parts, and more). It’s a freaky but fun flying experience. When you turn your head in the goggles, you can see all 360-degree of the camera’s capture — it’s almost like drone flying combined with VR but it’s, erm, real.Mashable’s Amanda Yeo said that the Antigravity A1 is “delightfully easy to fly, and the device makes it simple even for drone novices to capture spectacular, high quality aerial images.” There’s also simple landing, built-in obstacle avoidance, and lots of camera and video capture options. Its dual-lens camera system is based on Insta360’s X Series line and offers “beautifully smooth, clear, and seamless 8K 360 video,” according to our reviewer. One of our few quibbles with Antigravity A1 was the price, but thanks to the Amazon Big Spring Sale, that’s no longer an issue. Land a great deal on the Antigravity A1 Infinity Bundle in the Amazon Big Spring Sale. Now starting at just $1,279.

Live updates on Amazon Big Spring Sale 2026: Save $100 on Bose and Marshall headphones
We've officially reached the halfway point of the Amazon Big Spring Sale 2026, and we've already seen deals on iPads and MacBooks come and go. We're also seeing new deals drop daily, and our shopping reporters are on the job. This event might not carry quite the same weight as Prime Day or Black Friday, but it's still one of the biggest sales events on the shopping calendar, and this year's deals are surprisingly good. This spring-themed event will go hard on outdoor equipment like drones and power stations, spring cleaning essentials like robot vacuums, and everything else shoppers are looking to buy after a long, cold winter. Our professional deal hunters have spotted record-low prices on Apple, Fire TVs, Kindles, and Sony headphones. We've lined up all the best deals from the Amazon Big Spring Sale. If there's one thing we can always guarantee, it's that Amazon devices will get the biggest discounts during the retailer's major sales events. And such is the case for Kindles during the Big Spring Sale (which runs through March 31). If you've had your eye on a Kindle, but didn't want to pay full price, now's a great time to grab one.As of March 28, the basic Kindle is down to just $94.99 at Amazon during the Big Spring Sale. That's about $15 cheaper than usual and the best price we've seen since post-holiday season sales. Kindles do not see discounts very often, so this is likely the cheapest you'll find it until Prime Day in June.I own this exact model in the matcha shade and am constantly recommending it to everyone I know. Mashable has tested every major e-reader, and this is one of our faves.

The smallest and most affordable in Amazon's e-reader lineup, the basic Kindle is an excellent device. At only six inches, it's comfortable enough for one-handed reading and can easily slip into a purse. Though 16GB of storage may not sound like much, it's surprisingly enough to hold thousands of books. And if you ever come close to filling it up, you can simply offload books to make more space. It'll also last you up to six glorious weeks of reading before you even need to charge it.While it's not waterproof like the Kindle Paperwhite — which is Mashable's top-rated Kindle and is also on sale — it does have the same screen resolution and adjustable front light. The display also looks just like paper has that same dose of magic that somehow makes you read incredibly fast. Just make sure that you're extra cautious if you read at the beach or in the bathtub. If you're in the market for an e-reader and don't want to spend over $100, I highly recommend grabbing the basic Kindle while it's down to just $95.And if you don't mind spending a little more, you can also grab the Kindle Paperwhite on sale for $134.99.
Meta to fund natural gas plants to power its largest data center
Meta, one of the mega-corporations advancing artificial intelligence the fastest, has agreed to underwrite the energy costs of its newest and largest data center in Northeast Louisiana, according to the Wall Street Journal.Currently under construction in Richland Parish, Louisiana, the new data center is projected to cost $27 billion and consume up to 5 gigawatts of power, enough to power approximately 1 million homes. In an attempt to convey the scale of the undertaking, and while sounding like a James Bond villain without realizing it, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg described the finished data center as "so large it would cover a significant part of Manhattan."
SEE ALSO:
Meta, YouTube found guilty of negligence in history-making social media addiction trial
But to ensure that the good people of Louisiana don't subsidize the undertaking with absurdly high electricity bills, Meta has signed an agreement with Entergy Louisiana to privately fund new energy infrastructure throughout the state, including seven new natural gas power plants with a total energy output of 5,200 megawatts, 240 miles of 500-kilovolt transmission lines, and three new battery storage locations to help store excess energy. Fears about the economic disruptions caused by artificial intelligence, as well as the rising toll on the environment and local energy grids, have crossed political lines, with a recent poll finding that majorities of registered Democrats, Republicans, and independents support stronger regulation of AI and data centers. However, the same poll also found that majorities across all age groups continue to use AI at least once a month.

First Western Digital, now Sony: The tech giant suspends SD card sales
The global memory shortage due to rapid AI data center expansion is hitting everyone, even the biggest tech companies in the world.Case in point: Sony is suspending orders for almost all SD card sales from both vendors and consumers, per PetaPixel. The announcement was made on Sony's Japanese website, and explicitly blamed the lack of available memory as a reason why it can't fulfill SD card orders for the time being. Sony's full statement is as follows:Thank you for your continued patronage of Sony products.Due to the global shortage of semiconductors (memory) and other factors, it is anticipated that supply will not be able to meet demand for CFexpress memory cards and SD memory cards for the foreseeable future. Therefore, we have decided to temporarily suspend the acceptance of orders from our authorized dealers and from customers at the Sony Store from March 27, 2026 onwards.Regarding the resumption of order acceptance, we will consider it while monitoring the supply situation and will announce it separately on the product information page.
SEE ALSO:
PS5, PS5 Pro price hikes announced as Sony blames economic pressures
CFExpress Type A and Type B cards, as well as regular SD cards, are all affected by this move. Some low-end cards appear to still be in production, per PetaPixel, but as it stands, just assume that any card you see on a store shelf is the last one you'll see there for a while from Sony. The company's statement even straight up said that it doesn't know when it will be able to get the manufacturing up and running again.Sony follows Western Digital as a fellow big tech memory manufacturer that is feeling the squeeze from the needs of data centers. Western Digital announced in February that it had sold out of all hard drives for the year, with 10 whole months to go. This wasn't a great week for Sony in general, as the company also announced massive price hikes on its current-gen PlayStation video game consoles, most likely for the same reasons that it had to stop making SD cards.

Apple blocks developer from updating Mac app because its similar to a defunct feature
Mac users mourning the loss of Launchpad have found solace in a few third-party apps that replicate its functionality. However, one popular replacement, AppGrid, is now being blocked by Apple from receiving updates in the App Store. Why? According to the app's developer, Apple told them it's too similar to Launchpad, which, again, no longer exists on the Mac.Launchpad was an iPad-like app grid on the Mac, accessible from the dock. Apple released Launchpad alongside Mac OS X Lion in July 2011. When a user clicked Launchpad in the dock, a pop-up filled the screen with all the apps installed on the Mac. Users could curate and order the apps in Launchpad, however they liked.

However, Apple killed off Launchpad with macOS Tahoe, released last September. Launchpad was replaced with a new app called Apps. However, Apps simply lists the Mac's apps in alphabetical order, with no way to sort the app icons. In addition, the search function in Apps is buggy and doesn't always find the app that a user is looking for. Many Mac users were quite unhappy with Apple removing Launchpad. Third-party developers have since stepped in to replace Launchpad, launching their own apps with their take on the feature. One of the more popular Launchpad replacements in Apple's official App Store is AppGrid. However, according to its developer, Attila Miklósi, Apple is blocking the app's ability to release new updates in the App Store.According to Apple's developer guidelines, apps cannot be “confusingly similar to an existing Apple product or interface.” However, Launchpad no longer exists in the latest version of macOS. Apple is essentially blocking developers from creating a feature that no longer exists.Miklósi says that Apple shared that they would accept updates if AppGrid looked less like Launchpad did when it existed. However, the developer is hesitant to change AppGrid's look, as thousands of users have already paid for the version that looks like it currently does. While Miklósi has maintained the app with updates through direct downloads on AppGrid's website, the App Store version hasn't been updated since November 2025. As Miklósi points out, Apple oddly didn't remove the app from the App Store. Users can still buy the Pro version of the app too, giving Apple its percentage of the App Store revenue cut. However, the AppGrid version in the App Store can't be updated there and is essentially in a "zombie state" due to Apple's policies.

The retailer began rolling out wide-ranging discounts earlier this week, with more to come as prices drop on such items as robot vacuums, TVs, and your daily essentials. And if there's one thing we can always guarantee, it's that this sale features a raft of much-welcome Apple deals.Apple has kept us very busy so far in 2026. Next on our Apple to-do list: the upcoming AirPods Max 2. With so many new Apple products, we're seeing a bunch of first-time discounts during the Amazon Spring Sale, as well as new record-low prices on last-gen models like the Apple Watch SE 2 and M4 MacBook Air. Why we like itWe've always been fans of the AirPods Pro, but the third generation really takes them to new heights. Mashable's reviewer called them, "without a doubt, one of the best products of the year" in 2025. The latest premium buds feature outstanding noise cancellation (twice as good as the Pro 2), a solid eight hours of battery life with ANC on, and new foam-infused tips that come in five sizes to find the perfect fit. Apple also brought the heart rate monitoring tech from the Powerbeats Pro 2 (our favorite earbuds for working out) and Fitness app compatibility to the new AirPods Pro 3, and introduced a live translation feature. While we've seen the buds drop as low as $184 in the past, this Amazon spring sale discount is still worth grabbing.More AirPods dealsApple AirPods 4 — $99.99 $129 (save $29.01)Apple AirPods 4 (with ANC) — $149 $179 (save $30)Apple AirPods Max (1st Gen, USB-C) — $449.99 $549 (save $99.01 — also available at Walmart)Best AirTag deal

Why we like itThis four-pack of Apple's Bluetooth trackers keeps going in and out of stock on Amazon, which is hardly surprising: It's never been cheaper there. (It dipped to $62.99 on Black Friday, but the $59.99 sale price is a new record-low price.) You wind up paying just $15 per AirTag. Why we like itJust launched earlier this month, the 13-inch M4 iPad Air is already on sale for $84.50 off. The base configuration with WiFi connectivity and 128GB of storage is now just $746.50 (normally $799). Mashable's tech editor took the M4 iPad Air for a spin and found it pretty impressive — too impressive for the average user, even. Why we like itApple released its new MacBook Air with the M5 chip this month, but honestly, they're not a whole lot different than the M4 Airs. Why we like itThe Apple Watch Series 11 offers significant battery improvements over its predecessor. For that reason alone, it's worth the upgrade. It also features a tougher build with durable glass that's twice as resistant to scratches, 5G capability for quicker connectivity, and a Sleep Score and hypertension tool that can flag chronic high blood pressure. It's not a major upgrade (is anything in 2026?), but as Mashable's reviewer put it: "Buy it for the battery life." We're halfway through the Amazon Big Spring Sale 2026, and my favorite AR smart glasses from Xreal and TCL are all on sale.As Mashable's tech editor, I get to test out (and geek out over) a lot of cool gadgets. This year, I've been focused on a lot of virtual reality and augmented reality products, particularly smart glasses.

I tested a ton of smart glasses at CES 2026, and most recently, I put the new TCL RayNeo Air 4 Pro AR/XR Glasses through their paces. And as I mentioned, these futuristic smart glasses are only $249 during the Amazon spring sale. These glasses were just released in late February, and an on-page coupon lets you take $50 off the retail price of $299.

In my TCL RayNeo Air 4 Pro review, I said that these AR glasses are like an OLED TV you can wear, and they're designed for entertainment and gaming. Wherever you are, they project a 201-inch virtual display into the air. They're the first smart glasses with an HDR display, and they're almost twice as bright as the competition. While I enjoyed testing (and watching The Lord of the Rings) on the new RayNeo smart glasses, the pair I actually use most often come from Xreal, the market leader in this niche.Xreal's AR glasses can produce an ultra-wide display that you can anchor in place in your field of view, giving you an extra monitor. I've found they're really useful when working on an airplane or on the go. The Xreal One Pro AR Glasses have way more customization options than the RayNeo and a new AI 3D conversion feature. Finally, Xreal recently released the Xreal 1S AR Glasses, which offer big upgrades at a lower price. The 1S can project a 500-inch virtual screen. If you want to work, go with the One Pro. If you want to work and watch movies or game, go with the 1S. Both are on sale at record prices.

Are AR glasses worth it? For early adopters, yes.Bear in mind that smart glasses are still in their infancy as a product category, and even the best AR glasses have some issues. But if you're an early adopter who wants to explore the augmented world, TCL and Xreal are the brands I'd recommend. Crucially, none of these glasses feature cameras. Smart glasses with cameras have always felt a bit creepy to me, and as Mashable has reported, creeps do seem to love Meta-Ray Ban smart glasses.Want to learn more about getting the best out of your tech? Victim of Jeffrey Epstein files class-action lawsuit against Google
There's more legal trouble brewing for Google, as a victim of Jeffrey Epstein has filed a class action suit against the world's largest search engine, alleging its AI Mode improperly published personal information about sex trafficking victims. The problem began with the Department of Justice, whose rollout of the Epstein files, following the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act last year, was riddled with hasty redactions, which often protected the identities of alleged perpetrators while the identities of victims were left unconcealed.
SEE ALSO:
Jmail creators release Jeffrey Epstein’s calendar as JCal
The DOJ, however, has acknowledged the errors and removed the personal information from its website. The problem now lies with Google, and more specifically, its artificial intelligence, which trawled the initial, unredacted document dump and still hosts the sensitive personal information of sex trafficking victims."Even after the government acknowledged the disclosure violated the rights of survivors and withdrew the information, online entities like Google continuously republish it, refusing [the] victim’s pleas to take it down," the lawsuit reads. The allegations don't stop there. Not only did Google knowingly refuse to remove the sensitive information, which includes "full name, contact information, cities of residence, and association with Jeffrey Epstein," but the AI also allegedly "generated a hypertext link allowing anyone to send direct email to Plaintiff with the click of a button."Worse still, for Google: the lawsuit alleges that other artificial intelligence companies did not improperly publish victim information: "Notably, several other publicly available AI tools that generate content by analyzing online sources, such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity, provided no victim-related information whatsoever in similar repeated testing."This latest lawsuit comes on the heels of a damning Los Angeles jury ruling that found both Meta and Google-owned YouTube liable for "designing products that addict and harm children," prioritizing online engagement over the well-being of their users. At the time of writing, Google has not issued a public statement on the lawsuit, but a verdict in this trial could set important precedents for privacy protections in the age of AI, with implications that would ripple across the tech landscape.
NYT Pips hints, answers for March 28, 2026
Welcome to your guide to Pips, the latest game in the New York Times catalogue.Released in August 2025, the Pips puts a unique spin on dominoes, creating a fun single-player experience that could become your next daily gaming habit.Currently, if you're stuck, the game only offers to reveal the entire puzzle, forcing you to move onto the next difficulty level and start over. However, we have you covered! Below are piecemeal answers that will serve as hints so that you can find your way through each difficulty level. How to play PipsIf you've ever played dominoes, you'll have a passing familiarity for how Pips is played. As we've shared in our previous hints stories for Pips, the tiles, like dominoes, are placed vertically or horizontally and connect with each other. The main difference between a traditional game of dominoes and Pips is the color-coded conditions you have to address. The touching tiles don't necessarily have to match.

Wordle today: Answer, hints for March 28, 2026
The conditions you have to meet are specific to the color-coded spaces. For example, if it provides a single number, every side of a tile in that space must add up to the number provided. It is possible – and common – for only half a tile to be within a color-coded space. Here are common examples you'll run into across the difficulty levels:Number: All the pips in this space must add up to the number.Equal: Every domino half in this space must be the same number of pips. Not Equal: Every domino half in this space must have a completely different number of pips.Less than: Every domino half in this space must add up to less than the number.Greater than: Every domino half in this space must add up to more than the number. If an area does not have any color coding, it means there are no conditions on the portions of dominoes within those spaces.
