My air fryer bit the bullet at the end of 2025, which led me on the surprisingly overwhelming journey of choosing a new one. The market is overflowing with options, but I had a few priorities in mind on my search: non-toxic materials, a compact build that won't waste counter space, and an aesthetically pleasing design that matches my colorful kitchen. One of the only air fryers that checked all the boxes was the Our Place Wonder Oven.I received the Wonder Oven as a gift, but honestly, it's one of the few appliances I'd gladly spend my own money on. Especially now that it's dropped to a new record-low price during the Big Spring Sale. It typically retails for $185, but you can pick it up in any color for just $129. That's a total steal for an air fryer that can also toast, reheat, roast, bake, and broil. The Wonder Oven comes with three different trays you can swap out depending on what you're cooking — a chromed steel air fryer basket and wire rack, and an aluminum bake pan with non-toxic ceramic coating. There's also a chromed steel crumb tray to slide in at the bottom to keep the oven from getting too messy. You can also easily slip all three inside for storage when you're not using the oven. It takes up just a sliver of counter space compared to other air fryers, yet it can fit a whole chicken up to 4.5 pounds. I was honestly concerned with how tiny it is when I opened it for the first time, but it's actually a perfect size to feed two people. Did I mention this air fryer oven is actually cute? Its retro-inspired design features manual knobs instead of digital controls. So it doesn't just look like a hunk of tech on my counter; it looks like a tiny oven from the '70s.With Amazon's Big Spring Sale running through March 31, you still have a few days to snag the Our Place Wonder Oven for its best price ever. If you're in the market for an air fryer, I urge you to consider this one.

Amazon's third annual Big Spring Sale is live through March 31. The event mainly revolves around seasonal essentials like cleaning supplies and outdoor gear, but it's also hosting some very attractive deals on must-have tech — including flagship Apple products like MacBooks. As Mashable's resident laptop expert, I'm on the case. Apple actually just refreshed its MacBook lineup earlier this month, announcing updated MacBook Airs and Pros in addition to an all-new budget MacBook Neo. Most configurations of these new releases are seeing their very first (tiny) discounts during the Big Spring Sale, while their predecessors are priced to move at up to $300 off.
SEE ALSO:
Amazon's Big Spring Sale is surprisingly good: We found 111+ deals on Apple, DJI, Sony, and Dyson
Keep in mind that Apple has discontinued its last-gen MacBooks, which means they'll only be available on the refurbished market once third-party retailers' inventories dry up. If you see a good deal on an M4 MacBook Air or Pro at Amazon this week, don't wait too long to add it to your cart. A few configurations are starting to go in and out of stock, and I think they'll sell out long before this summer's Prime Day sale. As of Sunday morning, we're seeing a few steeper price drops on MacBook Pro models compared to the first part of the Amazon Big Spring Sale. That means today could be a great day to buy.I'll continue to monitor Amazon's Big Spring Sale MacBook deals as the sale continues into next week, so check back if nothing catches your eye just yet. Note: Deals marked with a 🔥 have dropped to a record-low price. Deals with a strikethrough are no longer available at the time of writing.Best MacBook Air deal

Why I like itThe M4 MacBook Air may be a last-gen laptop, but it's still an incredibly capable ultraportable. (In our testing, it proved much faster than much pricier Windows laptops.) It has the same 12MP Center Stage webcam, Liquid Retina display, and 18-hour battery life as its new M5 counterpart, which just offers slightly faster performance and newer wireless connectivity. Why I like itNine bucks off barely counts as a discount, but this is the best MacBook Neo deal I've seen outside of the Apple Store itself. (You can get $100 off there, but only if you're a college student, a parent of one, or school faculty.) This colorful little laptop has the same premium aluminum build as any other MacBook, and it boasts incredibly impressive single-core performance; in basic everyday tasks like web browsing, it's just as fast as an M4 MacBook Air. Why I like itA MacBook Pro has more ports and a brighter, smoother display than a MacBook Air. It's also better at handling heavier workloads (like video editing) over a long period of time since it has fans. I recommend it as an upgrade pick for power users like content creators and developers. This current-gen M5 model is well future-proofed with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It's only $50 away from its record-low price from December.Another configuration with an older, but more powerful M4 Pro chip is still in stock at the same price, though it comes with half the storage.Read Mashable's full review of the 14-inch Apple MacBook Pro (M5).More MacBook Pro dealsApple MacBook Pro, 14-inch (M5, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) — $1,549 $1,599 (save $50)Apple MacBook Pro, 14-inch (M5, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) — $1,649 $1,699 (save $50)Apple MacBook Pro, 14-inch (M4 Pro, 24GB RAM, 512GB SSD) — $1,799 $1,999 (save $200)Apple MacBook Pro, 14-inch (M5 Pro, 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD) — $2,149 $2,199 (save $50) 🔥Apple MacBook Pro, 14-inch (M5 Pro with 15-core CPU/16-core GPU, 24GB RAM, 2TB SSD) — $2,449.99 $2,599 (save $149.01) 🔥Apple MacBook Pro, 16-inch (M5 Pro, 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD) — $2,549.99 $2,699 (save $149.01) 🔥Apple MacBook Pro, 14-inch (M5 Pro with 18-core CPU/20-core GPU, 24GB RAM, 2TB SSD) — $2,749.99 $2,799 (save $49.01) 🔥Apple MacBook Pro, 16-inch (M5 Pro, 48GB RAM, 1TB SSD) — $2,899.99 $3,099 (save $199.01) 🔥Apple MacBook Pro, 14-inch (M5 Max, 36GB RAM, 2TB SSD) — $3,449.99 $3,599 (save $149.01) 🔥Apple MacBook Pro, 16-inch (M5 Max, 36GB RAM, 2TB SSD) — $3,699.99 $3,899 (save $199.01) 🔥Apple MacBook Pro, 16-inch (M5 Max, 48GB RAM, 2TB SSD) — $4,349 $4,399 (save $50) 🔥

The Moon is just a few nights away from full, so there's plenty to spot on its surface. What is today’s Moon phase? As of Sunday, March 29, the Moon phase is Waxing Gibbous. According to NASA's Daily Moon Guide, 85% of the Moon will be lit up tonight.Tonight, without visual aids, you can spot the Serenitatis, Imbrium, and Vaporum Mares. With binoculars, you'll also be able to see the Mare Frigoris, Archimedes Crater, and the Clavius Crater. With a telescope, enjoy a glimpse of the Caucasus Mountains and the Apollo 12 landing spot, and the Linne Crater. When is the next Full Moon?In North America, the next Full Moon is predicted to take place on April 1.What are Moon phases?According to NASA, the Moon completes one orbit around Earth in roughly 29.5 days, cycling through eight distinct phases. While the same side of the Moon always faces us, sunlight illuminates varying portions as it travels, making it appear full, half, or a narrow crescent. These shifting appearances are known as the lunar phases, and there are eight in total:New Moon - The Moon is between Earth and the sun, so the side we see is dark (in other words, it's invisible to the eye).Waxing Crescent - A small sliver of light appears on the right side (Northern Hemisphere).First Quarter - Half of the Moon is lit on the right side. It looks like a half-Moon.Waxing Gibbous - More than half is lit up, but it’s not quite full yet.Full Moon - The whole face of the Moon is illuminated and fully visible.Waning Gibbous - The Moon starts losing light on the right side. (Northern Hemisphere)Third Quarter (or Last Quarter) - Another half-Moon, but now the left side is lit.Waning Crescent - A thin sliver of light remains on the left side before going dark again.
Hurdle hints and answers for March 29, 2026
If you like playing daily word games like Wordle, then Hurdle is a great game to add to your routine. There are five rounds to the game. The first round sees you trying to guess the word, with correct, misplaced, and incorrect letters shown in each guess. If you guess the correct answer, it'll take you to the next hurdle, providing the answer to the last hurdle as your first guess. This can give you several clues or none, depending on the words. For the final hurdle, every correct answer from previous hurdles is shown, with correct and misplaced letters clearly shown. An important note is that the number of times a letter is highlighted from previous guesses does necessarily indicate the number of times that letter appears in the final hurdle. If you find yourself stuck at any step of today's Hurdle, don't worry! We have you covered.

NYT Strands hints, answers for March 29, 2026
Today's NYT Strands hints are easy if you have a bird feeder. Strands, the New York Times' elevated word-search game, requires the player to perform a twist on the classic word search. Words can be made from linked letters — up, down, left, right, or diagonal, but words can also change direction, resulting in quirky shapes and patterns. Every single letter in the grid will be part of an answer. There's always a theme linking every solution, along with the "spangram," a special, word or phrase that sums up that day's theme, and spans the entire grid horizontally or vertically.

Where did Wordle come from?Originally created by engineer Josh Wardle as a gift for his partner, Wordle rapidly spread to become an international phenomenon, with thousands of people around the globe playing every day. Alternate Wordle versions created by fans also sprang up, including battle royale Squabble, music identification game Heardle, and variations like Dordle and Quordle that make you guess multiple words at once. Wordle eventually became so popular that it was purchased by the New York Times, and TikTok creators even livestream themselves playing. What's the best Wordle starting word? The best Wordle starting word is the one that speaks to you. But if you prefer to be strategic in your approach, we have a few ideas to help you pick a word that might help you find the solution faster. One tip is to select a word that includes at least two different vowels, plus some common consonants like S, T, R, or N.What happened to the Wordle archive? The entire archive of past Wordle puzzles was originally available for anyone to enjoy whenever they felt like it, but it was later taken down, with the website's creator stating it was done at the request of the New York Times. However, the New York Times then rolled out its own Wordle Archive, available only to NYT Games subscribers. Is Wordle getting harder? It might feel like Wordle is getting harder, but it actually isn't any more difficult than when it first began. You can turn on Wordle's Hard Mode if you're after more of a challenge, though.

Apples M3 iPad Air (256GB) gets a free cellular upgrade during Amazons Big Spring Sale — save $200
SAVE $199.01: The 11-inch Apple iPad Air (M3, WiFi + Cellular, 256GB) is discounted to $649.99 during Amazon's Big Spring Sale. That's 23% off its $849 MSRP, its biggest discount to date. It now costs the same as a WiFi-only model.

Apple announced the M4 iPad Air earlier this month, which means Amazon is clearing out its remaining stock of the (very similar) M3 version during its Big Spring Sale this week. If you're hunting for a bargain on a pretty, peppy, and portable tablet, look no further. In one of the sale's best last-gen tech deals, an 11-inch M3 iPad Air with 256GB of storage and cellular connectivity is marked down to just $649.99 on Amazon as of March 28 — a 23% discount on its usual retail price of $849. Not only has it never been cheaper before, but it now costs the same as its also-on-sale WiFi-only counterpart (normally $699, currently $649). You're effectively getting the cellular upgrade for free.

Amazon's Spring Sale is surprisingly good this year: We found 150+ deals on Apple, Kindle, Bose, and Ninja
I wouldn't be surprised if this deal sold out well before the Big Spring Sale wraps on March 31. (For now, it applies to all four colorways: purple, blue, starlight, and space gray.) The 128GB version of the same iPad Air is now out of stock after Amazon gave it a $200 discount at the start of the event on March 25.A new 11-inch M4 iPad Air with the same specs will cost you $840 at the moment, or $190 more, and I have a tough time justifying that upcharge since it's such an iterative update. It just features a little more RAM, newer wireless standards for some extra future-proofing, and a small performance bump. (Per Mashable Tech Editor Timothy Beck-Werth, "the M3 chip is still powerful enough for 99 percent of users.") Otherwise, the two iPad Airs have the same bright Liquid Retina display, 12MP cameras, Dolby Atmos speakers, and 1.03-pound build. For what it's worth, I was only seeing this M3 iPad Air deal on Amazon at the time of writing. The same configuration was going for $799 at Best Buy; the Apple Store no longer carries it.Check out our full list of the best Apple deals from Amazon's Big Spring Sale.

I'll let you in on a little secret about portable power stations — they're almost always on some type of discount. It's rare that I see any of my favorite models listed at full price, which is not a bad thing. But it makes it harder to discern a good deal from a meh deal. To help out, I've scrolled the pages of the Amazon Big Spring Sale to find the deals I think are actually worth buying.A portable power station has become a must-have tech item. It's like your favorite noise-cancelling earbuds — no idea how we survived without them. They've been my savior during power outages to keep the refrigerator running, my phone charged up, and the WiFi router connected. They're also well worth packing along on upcoming camping trips. Think of movie nights under the stars with a powered-up portable projector and fresh popcorn. The one snag here is that batteries aren't cheap, and that's especially true of high-tech and long-lasting batteries found in portable power stations. Because of this, I recommend shopping for a power station during major sales like the Amazon Big Spring Sale is a wise move. Here are some of my favorite models seeing steep discounts during the sale. I'll keep this page updated as the sale rolls in and we see new deals pop up.Best Bluetti deal

FCC listing suggests the Trump T1 phone is somehow actually real
The Trump T1 smartphone saga has dragged on for almost a full year since its announcement last summer, and at every step of that process, it's felt like a fake product that will never come out... until now.In its endless quest to document this elusive smartphone, The Verge found a series of FCC listings for a phone called "T1" that suggest the product was tested and granted certification by the federal agency over the past few months. As is common with FCC listings, the documents are largely redacted and contain no photos or other useful information about the phone itself. They also don't reference Trump or any of the other corporate entities previously attached to the phone, such as "Trump Mobile," instead referring to a new company called Smart Gadgets Global. That company's CEO is Eric Thomas, who is an established executive at Trump Mobile.
SEE ALSO:
Advertisers shift to conservative creators over progressives under Trump
So, while all of this is weird and vaguely suspicious, we can confirm that the FCC has certified a phone called the T1, which was submitted by a Trump Mobile executive. All of this will be a lot more believable if/when the phone is actually in people's hands, but for now, we have to at least act like the T1 is real. The T1 was announced last June as a $500 "made in America" Android device with a golden exterior, somewhat respectable specs, and a target audience of true patriots. It didn't take long for people to realize that some major components couldn't have been made in America, and the phone missed its original September release date. It was delayed again in December, somewhat shockingly, before re-emerging in February with new specs and an altered appearance. That $500 price was also revealed at that time to be for early adopters only, with later customers being subject to an undetermined higher price point. To be clear, there is still every possibility that the T1 is not real and will never come out. But it looks more real today than it did a week ago.
